The Altay region of Xinjiang occupies a very important position in Central Asia, with the Altai Mountains in the north spanning Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Russia and China 4 countries, which are key areas for cultural exchanges between the East and the West. However, due to various reasons such as less academic attention and language restrictions, the petroglyphs in this area have There are few related studies. From the perspective of the Eurasian steppe, this paper comprehensively sorts out the remains of the rock paintings in the Altay region of Xinjiang, and asks questions about the distribution and dating of the rock paintings. Comprehensive discussion on this topic will provide important references for international rock art research.
